Our Location
Tinaroo Park is a rural estate located in the suburb of Barrine. It is named so because of the proximity and views of Tinaroo that this area offers. We are not located in the town of “Tinaroo” despite having the benefits of living near Lake Tinaroo; boat access, canoeing etc. We are on the southern end, that is the Yungaburra end of Lake Tinaroo. In fact this makes us closer to Cairns, closer to most southern Tableland Tourist Destinations (Lake Barrine, Lake Eacham, The Crater, Gallos, Malanda Falls, Millaa Millaa Falls, Herberton Historic Village and many more..) and away from the busy traffic from lake high season. Plus, Our Cottages offer the chance to relax in luxury and tranquillity set amongst the canopy of native birds and wildlife with breath-taking views of the beautiful Lake Tinaroo, away from stress of your day-to-day living.

Travelling from Cairns

Drive South from Cairns and Turn Right at Gordonvale onto the Gillies Highway. At the top of the Gillies Range, Turn Right on to Lloyd Rd.
Follow our signs, the Retreat is 5.2km from the Highway
Travelling from Townsville

If you drive to the Tablelands from Innisfail, when you reach Malanda turn right onto Malanda-Lake Barrine Rd to go towards Yungaburra, then turn right onto Gillies Hwy to go towards Cairns. Just past Lake Barrine turn left on to Lloyd Rd. If you drive to the Tablelands from Gordonvale follow the directions above as if you are coming from Cairns.
